Anthony’s Professional Biography
Anthony began his career in medical assisting in 1991, shortly after graduating and starting work as a Medical Assistant in Boston, Massachusetts. He later pursued further studies in mortuary science at Mount Ida College.
In 1996, Anthony was invited to join the faculty of the Bryman Institute in Brookline, Massachusetts, where he taught medical assisting until 1999. That same year, he earned his credentials as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant.
In 2000, he launched his own phlebotomy and medical assistant training program, which he successfully ran for nearly a decade (2000–2009). Following that, he was asked to co-consult on the opening of a startup laboratory, assisting in both its setup and operations. He eventually returned to the field as a Lead Medical Assistant, while continuing to consult and mentor educators, clinical staff, and new medical assistant students.
Anthony’s expertise was also sought in primary care settings. He consulted with a busy hematology and oncology department in Boston, Massachusetts, where his recommendations improved patient flow and reduced wait times—enhancing the overall patient experience.
His commitment to the profession extended into publishing. In 2019, he authored an instructional book on phlebotomy. By 2022, the book was recognized as a medical best-seller in Canada, cementing his reputation as both an educator and an author in the field.
